Selection Process & Exam Pattern of HCL junior Manager 2024

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. It was incorporated on 9 November 1967 and is the only vertically integrated copper producer in India, engaged in a wide range of activities including mining, beneficiation, smelting, refining, and continuous cast rod manufacturing.

Selection Process

  • Selection of candidate/s for appointment to the post shall be based on the performance in the Written Test and shall be subject to verification of documents.
  • Details of Written Test shall be shared with the call letter for Written Test.
  • Written Test under Notification No. Estt./1/2018/2023-24 for filling-up of post on immediate absorption basis and No. Estt./1/2020/2023-24 shall be conducted on
    same day in separate sessions.

Qualifying Marks

  • The minimum qualifying marks out of aggregate marks prescribed in CBT for short-listing.
  • Candidates for Document Verification shall be 30% for candidates belonging to General (Unreserved) / OBC categories and 20% for those belonging to SC / ST / PwD
    categories.

Operations and Locations

  • Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP): Located in Madhya Pradesh, it is the single largest copper deposit in India.
  • Khetri Copper Complex (KCC): Located in Rajasthan, it includes two mines, a concentrator plant, and a smelter.
  • Indian Copper Complex (ICC): Located in Jharkhand, it includes mines, a concentrator plant, a smelter, a refinery, and a wire rod plant.
  • Taloja Copper Project (TCP): Located in Maharashtra, it includes a continuous cast copper rod plant.

Products

  • HCL produces copper cathodes, continuous cast copper rods, and by-products such as anode slime (containing precious metals), copper sulfate, and sulfuric acid.
